Don’t Miss the “Four Weddings” Finale!

By Are You Watching? No Comments

Mindy Kaling’s limited series, Four Weddings and a Funeral, comes to a close today on Hulu.

The show, which is a reconceptualization of the 1994 rom-com film starring Hugh Grant and Andie MacDowell, follows a group of friends in modern-day London as they navigate the ups-and-downs of their careers, love lives, and relationships.

We’ve absolutely loved working on this fun show with our partners at Hulu, and are sad to see it come to an end. In the meantime… we won’t spoil the ending for you! It’s good!

Project Spotlight: The Farewell

By Project Spotlight No Comments

We can also highlight cool spots/campaigns and tell a bit of a story about them, if we want.

We love the Farewell so much. We love the Farewell so much. We love the Farewell so much. We love the Farewell so much. We love the Farewell so much. We love the Farewell so much. We love the Farewell so much. We love the Farewell so much. We love the Farewell so much. We love the Farewell so much. We love the Farewell so much. We love the Farewell so much. We love the Farewell so much.

This is the idea behind a particular spot…

The client wanted us to create something blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.

“A quote from Chad about the intent of this particular spot. He’s very well-spoken and eloquent.”

Something else about The Farewell as a movie, maybe why we love it, maybe why it’s such a good movie. I don’t know. Something else about The Farewell as a movie. It’s so good we can’t even understand how good it is.

“A quote from Russ about cutting the spot. Maybe something that was challenging and how he found a creative way around it because he’s so smart and such a good editor and he’s really awesome at his job.”

Yep. Closing words here.

Take a look at the finished product:

Ryan Oliver of The Playlist calls is a “funny, heartwarming adventure,” and says that it “feels refreshing, unique, and emotional.”

Green Book Wins 3 Academy Awards

By Awards No Comments

Universal Pictures’ Green Book was crowned Best Motion Picture of the Year at last night’s 91st Academy Awards.

The biographical drama-comedy was nominated in five categories — Best Picture, Best Lead Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Film Editing. By the end of the night, the film walked home with three wins (the aforementioned Best Picture win, as well as Supporting Actor and Original Screenplay).

The film follows a gruff working-class Italian-American (played by Viggo Mortensen) who takes a job as a driver for a well-known African-American classical pianist (played by Mahershala Ali) on a 1960s tour of the American South. While on tour, they encounter prejudice, racism, and the realities of the black experience in 1960s America. By the end, the two men forge a lasting connection.

We loved working on the Academy campaign for Green Book and couldn’t be happier for its wins last night! Congratulations to our partners at Universal and Participant Pictures!
